Shearman & Sterling has been awarded High Yield Team of the Year at the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2024. The firm’s Asia capital markets team was recognized for its work on the region’s most innovative high-yield transactions that reached financial close in 2023. The team was also awarded High Yield Deal of the Year for its role on Medco Maple Tree’s US$500 million Rule 144A/Reg S bond offering and tender offers by certain subsidiaries of PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk.

Shearman & Sterling also won Domestic Deal of the Year Award in Japan for its role on the offshore fund structuring in connection with the Japan Industrial Partners-led consortium’s take-private of Toshiba Corporation. The award recognizes the firm’s Asia Investment Funds team’s expertise and experience in executing complex private equity transactions in Japan.
