Shearman & Sterling hosted our third annual Family Office Summit on September 27-28. The in-person event took place in our New York office and was attended by 149 single-family offices, family enterprise owners, board members, and directors of large private foundations.
The 1 1/2-day program featured panels covering a range of topics, including new perspectives on portfolio allocation; current macroeconomic trends; risk management; advances in artificial intelligence; the future of finance, private equity and clean energy investments; and outlooks on financial markets and the global economy.
Following a fireside chat with Mark Sotir of Equity Group Investments (EGI) moderated by Donna Parisi, Global Head of Finance, day one ended with a cocktail reception.
Day two of the summit closed with a fireside chat with David Rubenstein and Todd Rich of Declaration Family Office, moderated by Senior Partner Adam Hakki, and an exclusive whiskey tasting hosted by Sagamore Spirit, founded by Kevin Plank, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of American sportswear company, Under Armour, based in Baltimore.
The event was hosted by partners Donna Parisi and Anna Salek, co-heads of Shearman & Sterling’s Family Office Group and Amir Rafizadeh, Principal at 678 Partners.
